The Studio Master Series

 Studio Master Series는 연주자와 연주자의 악기 사이의 최적의 저항 밸런스를 찾기 

 위하여 고안된 다양한 옵션을 제공하여 아 고음역에서 최대 공기 속도를 얻을 수 

 있도록 합니다.

 이 밸런스를 맞추기 위해 다섯 가지 주요 요소 " 마우스피스 전체 길이, 컵 깊이, 

 컵 모양, 보어, 백보어" 를 조절합니다.

 The Studio Master Series offers a wide range of options designed to find the 

 optimum balance of resistance between the player and his equipment to 

 achieve maximum air velocity in the upper register. There are Five Major 

 Elements that we manipulate in order to achieve this balance – overall length,

 cup depth and shape, bore and back bore.

전체 길이 Overall Length

마우스피스의 전체 길이를 변경하면 저항에 영향을 줍니다. 모든 조건이 동등하다면 마우스피스의 전체 길이가 길수록 저항이 커집니다. 전반적인 

길이를 단축하는 방법은 여전히 상당한 영향을 미치는 동시에 높은 수준의 압축을 유지할 수 있는 방식으로 저항을 줄여 줍니다.

이 저항 지점을 사용하여 공기 속도에 훨씬 더 즉각적으로 영향을 미치는 컵 깊이 또는 보어 크기와 같은 마우스 피스의 다른 측면을 고정하거나

Altering the overall length of the mouthpiece affects the resistance. All things being equal, the longer the overall length, the greater the 

resistance. Shortening the overall length reduces resistance in a way that is subtle enough to maintain high compression while still 

having a significant impact. We use this point of resistance to be able to hold constant or manipulate other aspects of the mouthpiece, 

such as cup depth or bore size which have a much more immediate impact on air velocity.

스튜디오 마스터 컵은 대부분의 얕은 컵 마우스피스와는 완전히 다르게 생겼다. 스튜디오 마스터 마우스피스는 "듀얼 컵"개념을 채택하고 있다.

이를 통해 우리는 얕은 주름과 공기 유동에 관련된 가장 중요한 두개의 가장 중요한 두가지 요인을 신중히 조작할 수 있다. 상단 컵은 입술이

The Studio Master cups are shaped quite differently than most shallow cupped mouthpieces. They employ a “Dual Cup” concept. This 

allows us to carefully and purposefully manipulate the two most important factors relating to shallow cupped mouthpieces: Lip 

accommodation and Air flow. The top cup is designed to allow for more room for the lips to vibrate freely. The bottom part of the cup 

(throat area) is used to regulate the air flow. Here is a comparison of the shallowest Studio Master cup versus the most common 

shallow cup design:

The yellow arrows help to highlight the differences in cup design. The top part of the cup has a great deal more room just under the rim 

in the walls of the cup. Not only does this allow for the lips to vibrate more freely, but it is an important factor in the robust sound that 

the Studio Master pieces are known for. This extra room also lets players with fleshier lips play a shallower cup than they generally are 

able to play. The extra room in the throat area of the cup (bottom of the cup, or entrance to the bore) allows more air to flow through 

more quickly.

※ 모델별 성향 및 연주 스타일

LT, LTV, LTS: 공기의 저항이 강하여 이런 느낌을 좋아하는 연주자에게 적합, 컵 깊이는 울림과 연주자가 원하는 사운드를 생각하여 선택합니다.

LD, LDV, LDS: 3가지의 다른 컵 모두가 넓고 오픈되었다. 이 모델은 많은 공기가 필요하지 않으면서 빠른 연주를 할 때 적합합니다.

VM, VMS: "크로스오버" 마우스피스로, 팝이나 쇼, 뮤지컬에 적합한 모델이다.

LX, XV, XS, XMS, XM : 다른 모델과 같은 컵을 사용하나 백보어가 좁고, 얕은 마우스피스 디자인에 비해서 블로잉이 편한다.

보어 및 백보어 Bore and Backbores

스튜디오 마스터 라인은 서로 다른 5개의 서로 다른 보어 옵션과 2개의 서로 다른 보어 크기를 제공합니다.

The Studio Master line offers 5 different back bore options and 2 different bore sizes.

LD, LDV, LDS:

스튜디오 마스터 라인의 가장 큰 백보어. 짧음(shortness)와 전체 길이(overall length) 이 두 요소가 결합되어 설계의 저항을 극적으로 줄일 수 있습니다.

This is the largest back bore of the Studio Master line. Coupled with the shortness of the overall length of this model these two 

elements combine to dramatically reduce the resistance in this design.

보어 사이즈 = #27 (.144" or 3.65mm)

LX, XV, XS:

LD보다는 타이트하지만, 전체 길이가 짧기 때문에 대부분의 '고음형' 디자인에 비해 상당히 적은 저항을 가지고 있습니다. 

그것은 개방성과 저항 사이의 균형을 잘 유지한다.

This back bore is tighter than the LD, but because of the shortness of the overall length this model has considerably less resistance 

then most 'high note' designs. It provides a great balance between openness and resistance.

LT, LTV, LTS:

This is the tightest back bore in the Studio Master line. These models also have a #28 bore. Depending on the player, extra resistance 

can help to speed the air and boost the upper register. *Note the long straight section*

Bore Size = #28 (.140" or 3.57mm)

VM:

This is a large back bore. This mouthpiece is a great 'cross- over' piece and gives the player great flexibility: shallow enough to climb easily into the upper register, large enough to blend just about anywhere.

XM: 

XM 백보어는 VM 백보어보다 약간 작습니다.

이러한 추가적인 저항은 반응을 촉진하고 범위를 용이하게 하는데 도움이 될 수 있습니다.

The XM back bore is slightly smaller than its counterpart VM back bore.

This extra bit of resistance can help to quicken response and facilitate range.
